What is the Testosterone Total Test?
Total Testosterone measures the primary male sex hormone in blood. While predominantly a male hormone, women also produce small amounts. In men, testosterone regulates muscle mass, bone density, fat distribution, red blood cell production, and sexual function. Testosterone levels naturally decline with age.
Why Should You Take This Test?
Low testosterone affects energy, libido, and bone health in men. Elevated testosterone in women suggests PCOS or other androgen disorders.
